It’s Valentine’s Week, and what’s a better way to celebrate it than with Dilwale Churros? Masterchef Neha Deepak Shah has shared the perfect recipe, and guess what? It’s non-fried (aka healthy) and eggless. Since it’s almost Valentine’s Day, quickly take a stock of your pantry and check if you have butter, vanilla extract, yoghurt, caster sugar, cinnamon, piping bag and other essentials mentioned by the chef, and make Dilwale Churros for the one who has taken your dil away. Play SRK and Kajol’s Janam Janam from Dilwale in the background, of course.
Did you know these facts about Churros?
- It has a Spanish and Portuguese origin story
- It’s made with Choux Pastry Dough (Makes you run to King’s Bakery? Go, go go!)
- In America, churros are often served with cinnamon sugar
- There’s a similar sounding word Churo, but the latter is a river in Russia
