Aloor dum and luchi are staples of Puja
celebrations, but Ila Sengupta of The Earthen Pot has introduced a fresh twist
that’s sure to make this Puja even more special. In a recent YouTube video, she
shares her unique recipe of kumri with aloor dum, and we’re eager
to give it a try!
Ila starts by kneading dough for the Kumri, then prepares a
dry pumpkin masala paste. Each dough ball is stuffed with the pumpkin paste,
rolled out like luchis, and then fried to perfection. She pairs these kumris
with a hot, spicy aloor dum, fried potatoes cooked in a rich masala.
This tasty yet simple dish is the perfect blend
of sweet and spicy, offering a delicious new take for the festive season. After
one attempt, we’re sure your guests will be coming back for more.
