Any festival in India is incomplete without sweets. And when the mithai is homemade, it’s all the more satisfying! This Sunday, get into the festive mood by trying Zayka Ka Tadka’s five minute kaju-pista rolls. They’re not only super easy to make but taste heavenly too. And the best part is that all the ingredients are easily available at home.
Ingredients:
- Cashew nuts: 1 cup
- Pistachios: ½ cup
- Milk powder: 1 cup
- Desiccated coconut: 1 cup
- Sugar: 1 cup
- Cardamom powder: 2 teaspoons
- Ghee: 2 teaspoons
- Milk: 3 teaspoons
Method:
- Blend cashew nuts into a fine powder. Make sure to use the ‘pulse mode’ for better result
- Take a large mixing bowl and mix the cashew powder with milk powder, desiccated coconut, sugar, cardamom powder and ghee
- Use milk to knead the mixture into a dough. Then make thin rolls out of it
- Sprinkle pistachios on a flat surface and roll the dough on it. Then cut them into bite-sized pieces and your kaju-pista rolls are ready!
While making the rolls, rub a little ghee on your palms, so that the dough doesn’t stick to them.
