Making (and eating!) turkey during the Christmas season is a tradition. And a slathering of cranberry sauce over crispy turkey takes it to a whole other level! Here’s an easy recipe:
Ingredients:
- Cranberries: 100gm
- Powdered sugar: 1 and ½ cup
- Salt: One small pinch
- Water: 2 cups
Recipe:
- Wash the cranberries
- Take a nonstick pan, pour water and heat well
- Now add sugar, give a good stir and boil together
- Add the cranberries, mix well and lower the heat
- Cover and cook for 12-15 minutes. Keep stirring occasionally
- Once the cranberries have softened and the consistency of the sauce is thick, add salt and give a quick mix
- Check seasonings and turn of the flame
- Allow the cranberry sauce to cool. Refrigerate it in an airtight container for minimum 15-20 minutes before consumption
Tip:
- The cranberry sauce will thicken once cool
- The end result of the sauce while on the gas should not be runny or watery
