The 20th Inter-School Golf Championship gets underway
More than 20 schools from across India will compete in the two-day tournament being held at Tollygunge Club

Over a hundred budding golfers, representing more than 20 schools across India, will be competing at the 20th Inter-School Golf Championship at Tollygunge Club on October 16 and 17, with My Kolkata as digital partner. Organised for the first time in 2005, the tournament has long been a breeding ground for the best young golfing talent in the country, including the likes of Viraj Madappa, Siddhi Kapoor, Udayjit Bhalotia, Tutul Ali and Sunit Chowrasia.
Following the inauguration of the championship on October 15, the action will follow the Texas Scramble format for the first round and the Betterball Stroke Play for the second. The competitors will be divided into six categories, including those below nine and above 13 years of age. The Inter-School Golf Championship is partnered by Muskaan, a pan-India initiative by the Prabha Khaitan Foundation and the Education for All trust.
