Chef Dyuti Banerjee and curator Barnamala Roy bring you a multisensorial dinner show, ‘RobiBar-A Ritu,’ at TopCat CCU on October 20, from 7 pm onwards. This event marks the first chapter of the ‘Queering Tagore’ series, a multisensory tribute to Rabindranath Tagore, exploring some of his works. The evening will feature film screenings of Rituparno Ghosh’s adaptations of Tagore’s works, including Noukodubi, Chokher Bali, and Chitrangada, curated by Barnamala Roy. A seven-course meal, curated by MasterChef Dyuti Banerjee and served between the screenings, will translate the films’ emotions into flavours.
A vibrant lineup of artistes will capture the essence of Tagore’s world with live songs and music from Ghosh’s films. The event will begin and end with select readings from Ghosh’s writings, including excerpts from his Sunday column in Robbar, now compiled in the two volumes of First Person. Don’t miss this unique experience!
