Regarded as the ‘Godfather of Indian Jazz’, not
many know that the legendary Louiz Banks started out by playing in nightclubs
of Park Street. Bengal Biennale is all set to bring the master musician back
for a nostalgic evening. Louiz will be taking the stage at Trincas on January
4, 2025, with Shashank Das, Rahul Wadhwani, and his son, Gino, for an event
titled ‘Art Meets Jazz’.
The concert will be the grand culmination of a
month-long exhibition by the same name, which will be on display at Trincas
from December 6 to January 5. This exhibit will introduce an innovative fusion
of music and art through 35 exclusive multimedia NFTs, pairing Banks’ original
jazz compositions with his paintings, bringing each piece to life.
So, if you want to experience Louiz’s grand return
to the Trincas stage, register here!
