Om Books International, in association with Allcap
Communications and the Kolkata Centre for Creativity (KCC), is celebrating the
launch of Ashoke Nag’s book on Satyajit Ray, titled Ray on Ray: A Son
Remembers, on July 26 at KCC, 6.30pm onwards.
While much has been written about Ray senior, what sets
Nag’s book apart is the personalised narrative through stories from Ray’s son
and filmmaker Sandip Ray. The book delves beyond Satyajit Ray as the world
knows him — filmmaker, author, composer and artist — and spotlights him as a
human being and father.
Reliving the journey of his father, Sandip Ray will be in
conversation with filmmaker Suman Ghosh, Nag and the book’s editor Shantanu Ray
Chaudhuri. Entry for the event is free and on a first-come, first-serve basis.
