Kolkata’s music scene is set to come alive at Republic of Rock 2024

Nicco Park’s Big Lawns will become the centre of Kolkata’s music scene on November 9 as Republic of Rock 2024 brings together some of India’s most celebrated rock bands for an unforgettable concert experience. The event, presented by CentreStage, promises an explosive lineup, featuring Kolkata’s popular rock bands Fossils and Lakkhichhara, alongside the multi-genre powerhouse Thaikkudam Bridge. Fossils, led by Rupam Islam, will deliver their iconic mix of hard rock and socially conscious lyrics, while Lakkhichhara will bring Bangla rock to life with a unique fusion of classic and contemporary influences. Thaikkudam Bridge, known for their blend of rock, folk, and classical music, will add diversity to the evening with their dynamic mix of traditional Indian sounds and modern rock.
This year’s Republic of Rock is also dedicated to supporting new musical talent, featuring an opening by emerging bands Zombie Cage Control and Perpetual. From powerful soundscapes to electrifying performances, Republic of Rock 2024 will offer music lovers a rare blend of cultural fusion that resonates with Kolkata’s rich musical heritage.
