This October, the popular cultural series Goa Socials is set to make waves in Kolkata with an exclusive Durga Puja edition. Taking place in October at Park Street Social, the event promises a vibrant fusion of Goa’s sun-kissed coastal spirit and the rich, festive traditions of Bengal. Guests can indulge in a diverse range of activities, including a special culinary experience crafted by Goan chef Karl Taylor and mixologist Ipsita Chakraborty, combining bold Goan flavors with the aromatic undertones of Bengal. The event will also feature live cross-cultural music performances, an eco-conscious marketplace showcasing sustainable products and interactive workshops on art and sustainability.
In addition to the festivities, the event will host a beauty corner by Looks Salon Ballygunge, offering exclusive hampers and vouchers while promoting sustainable beauty practices. For those looking to showcase their creativity, an Open Stage invites participants to shine with art, music, or storytelling in a four-minute slot. On the music front, band Switch will be taking centre stage, followed by Sukrit Sen on the tabla and Soumalya on the sarod. The party will continue as DJs Arpan and Blurry Slur will take charge of the console after.
Goa Socials aims to create a melting pot of art, culture, and conversations, fostering a deeper connection between diverse communities through shared experiences. With its unique blend of cultural traditions, this event marks a not-to-be-missed celebration where Goa meets Bengal in the heart of Kolkata.
