There’s nothing like an exhibition to put you in a good and creative mood for the week. If you didn’t have anything scheduled for the weekend, here are two exhibitions you shouldn’t miss out on. Experimenter – Ballygunge Place is hosting Bhasha Chakrabarti’s debut solo exhibition ‘Skin to Skin,’ curated by Shaunak Mahbubani. The exhibition will display Chakrabarti’s paintings that uniquely explore the skin as the medium through which people get to encounter the world that wraps us all around.
The second exhibition, titled ‘Anatomy of Remembrances,’ will showcase works by T. Vinoja. The artist explores, mainly on textile, how the experiences of loss, abandonment and shattered realities have been conveyed by different objects and sites in the context of the civil war in Sri Lanka, the country that she calls home. Both exhibitions promise a rich experience and a wholesome time where you get to appreciate art and the artists. Here’s to a zen weekend that leaves you with food for thought.
