Gata rahey mera dil to Phoolon ke rang se — it’s hard to imagine anyone but Dev Anand in these iconic films that still captivate audiences. Films like Tere Mere Sapne and Kala Pani are a satisfying watch for cinephiles even in 2023.
Dev Anand, who made this cinematic experience possible, turns 100 this September 26. The Film Heritage Foundation and its founder Shivendra Dungarpur are hosting a Dev Anand @ 100 retrospective in 30 cities and 55 cinemas across India on September 23 and 24. The curated list of films include Guide, CID, Jewel Thief and Johny Mera Naam. Anurag Kashyap shared details on Instagram and wrote, “...do not miss these gems you Millenials or Gen Z or Gen X or whoever you are ... for us it’s nostalgia but for you - it will be the discovery. Don’t miss it”.
The retrospective is also coming to Kolkata and the films can be watched at Inox Quest Mall and PVR Avani.
