Japanese cinema is known for its distinct stories, wonderful visuals and nuanced characters, which has established a firm place in the hearts of cinephiles around the world. If you love Japanese cinema, the Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata, Japan Foundation and Federation of Film Societies of India are collectively bringing a treat for you. From August 23 to September 1, Nandan 3 will be the place to be, hosting Japan Talkies: The Japanese Film Festival. The hall will screen six films in honour of the Japan Month celebrations, which aim to further bilateral ties between India and Japan.
