Popular Mughlai dine den from Mumbai, Kareeem’s Kolkata ushered in its third outlet in the city at the busy food hub of Chinar Park, this December. The first outlet opened in Sector V in 2017, shortly followed by the second outlet on Park Street in 2018.

“The two outlets have been doing phenomenally well. We were happy with the response and wanted to expand. When we saw the property at Chinar Park, we knew that it was the right space for our restaurant. Chinar Park fitted perfectly well with our vision of introducing a dining destination hub for the neighborhood,” said co-owners Sayantan Saha, Rohit Chowdhury and Joydeep Saha.

The Telegraph’s food picks

Kareem’s Special Chicken Potli Kebab: A favourite since the inception of the restaurant, these kebabs are in the form of a bag or potli, wherein a chicken fillet is filled with juicy chicken mince cooked with dry fruits. @Rs 460-plus

Mutton Shahi Burra Chaap: This is as rich as it gets. Lamb chops are coated in a creamy marinade and cooked till they’re tender. Before serving they’re coated with yet another heavily loaded yogurt-based dressing and some almond flakes as well. @Rs 550-plus

Chicken Lahori: A Pakistani cuisine-inspired dish, this houses pieces of boneless chicken cooked in a rich red gravy that’s spicy yet tangy. Tastes best with butter naan. @Rs 450-plus

Kareem’s Special Mutton Handi Dum Biryani: A crowd pleaser across both outlets, this biryani is full of flavour and aroma. Finished off in a clay pot, it has tender mutton falling off the bone along with our Calcutta fave aloo, and a boiled egg. @Rs 490-plus

Kareem’s Special Malai Phirni: This melt-in-the-mouth milk-based dessert is flavoured with saffron, cardamom and almonds. It’s the ideal end to your meal. @Rs 160-plus
