Roots, the 18,000sq ft lounge-nightclub on Chowringhee that opened last month, hosted a smashing launch party. The big bash was attended by guests from all walks of life who let their hair loose and soaked in the beautiful ambience. The view was unanimously appreciated along with great food and beverage and a smashing playlist that included party hits. “Unholy, Maan meri jaan, Summer High, Besharam rang and Calm Down were some of the tracks that got everyone glued to the dance floor,” said DJ Sami, head programmer.

“It was an excellent night. To see so many people turn up and appreciate the labour of love we have put in was amazing. We are very humbled that all our brands are so well received by our guests. “I loved the location with iconic landmarks visible at such close proximity. The interiors of the place are were chic and swanky,” said Rezwan R Sheikh, actor.

The decor is fabulous, especially the rooftop. One couldn’t have asked for more. We hardly get to see open sky from the pigeon hole apartments we stay in, so the view from Roots is an amazing change,” he said.
