Tucked away amid the sprawling greenery of Eco Park, New Town, Club De Golf blends fine dining and leisure, offering visitors a combination of gourmet cuisine and the serenity of a golf course. Since opening its doors three years ago, the restaurant has become a popular destination for golf lovers in Kolkata, food connoisseurs and anyone seeking a refined yet relaxed ambience. Located next to a nine-hole golf course and a driving range, Club De Golf is the ideal weekend setting for some play and feasting.

To commemorate three years in Kolkata, Club De Golf has recently launched a signature menu. Curated with a fusion of global influences, the new dishes reflect the restaurant’s ethos of creating innovative and flavoursome dining experiences. My Kolkata enjoyed a sample of the culinary fest.

  • Chicken 65 (Rs 365): A spicy dish with its roots in Chennai, reinvented with an oriental twist, making it a zesty starter that packs a punch.
  • Meatball Pizza (Rs 525): An American classic with a twist, this pizza features juicy minced mutton meatballs, topped with cheddar, offering a hearty slice of indulgence.
  • Lamb Chops (Rs 685): A fine-dining favourite, tender lamb chops are served with creamy mashed potatoes and a rich brown sauce for an elegant meal.
  • Chicken Wrapped Bhetki (Rs 665): A creative fusion of grilled chicken roulade stuffed with Kolkata’s beloved bekti, all tied together with a delicious brown sauce. A nod to the local flavours with a modern touch.
  • Asian Ramen Bowl (Rs 325): A warming Japanese-inspired ramen bowl in a soy broth, with a choice of oriental veggies, chicken or egg, tailored for those seeking comfort in a bowl.
  • Scotch Eggs (Rs 315): A pub classic taken to gourmet heights — crumbed minced mutton wrapped around soft-boiled eggs, deep-fried to golden perfection.

To accompany this scrumptious menu, Club De Golf has raised the bar with its beverage offerings, including its trademark beer and wine-based cocktails. These cocktails, often crafted with fresh fruits, herbs and exotic spices, offer a lighter, more refreshing alternative to traditional mixed drinks, pairing with the restaurant’s wide array of dishes.

‘Our goal is to promote the culture of golf, beer and wine in Bengal’

The celebration of Club De Golf’s third anniversary isn’t just about new flavours. It’s also a tribute to how far the place has come. From its humble beginnings, the vision of its founder, Akanksha Pandey, has been the driving (golf pun intended!) force behind its success. An IT entrepreneur by trade but a food enthusiast at heart, Akanksha took a leap of faith into the world of hospitality, determined to create a place where golf and gourmet meet. “I had to learn things from scratch in F&B, but it’s been a great exposure for me. The relationship with our patrons matters most, and I’m grateful for their trust and support. Our goal is to promote the culture of golf, beer and wine in Bengal. At Club De Golf, we want to keep growing as the go-to hangout spot for Kolkatans, be it sports enthusiasts or anyone looking for a soothing atmosphere and a sumptuous meal,” says Akanksha.

Club De Golf’s strategic location, adjacent to a pay-and-play golfing facility, enhances its appeal. After a challenging day on the driving range or the nine-hole course, serious and casual players alike can kick back with a cold beer and one of Club De Golf’s classic club sandwiches.

Over the years, Club De Golf has also become a hub for events, hosting a variety of gatherings, from its Beer and Burger Festival to the Vintage Car Fiesta. These programmes, which draw crowds from across the city, are a testament to the restaurant’s diverse appeal.

As Club De Golf embarks on another year, it strives to continue setting the standard in its unique niche of golf and grub in New Town, where every visit is an ode to taste and tradition, surrounded by a sport that embodies the same values.
