Manicktalla Chaltabagan Lohapatty Durga Puja, which won the Anandabazar.com Shera Sorbojonin award for Social Work, organised a programme to spread festive cheer among some children with special needs, on October 16.
Rituparna Sengupta was there to distribute food packets and clothes to the children who visit the Chaltabagan puja every year. Supriya Jaiswal from the puja committee was also present at the event, held under the aegis of Muskaan.

“I have had a special attachment with the Chaltabagan puja for years. The organisers here always reached out with a lot of warmth and affection. The puja committee organises many wonderful programmes, and I am very happy to be here,” smiled the actress.
Muskaan, a joint initiative of Prabha Khaitan Foundation and Education For All Trust, strives to provide quality education to underprivileged children, empower children holistically in a child-friendly environment through various activities, distribute books, stationery and other school materials, and also help impart skill-building activities for school children across India.
