Calcutta-based Odissi dancer Avirup Sengupta recently performed at the inaugural ceremony of the 44th annual convention of Odisha Society of United Kingdom organised at Hatch End High School in London.

Sharing with t2 the experience of having performed on such a prestigious platform, Avirup said, “It was an honour for me to perform at the inauguration, considering I am a Bengali and I still could play my part to kickstart the celebrations at the inauguration event. It was an amazing experience to perform in front of so many dignitaries and other guests who had come from Odisha. And I am at a loss for words now. Everyone liked my performance and showered so much praise. I am grateful I got this opportunity”.
