Cultural enthusiasts of Salt Lake know Shrutibritto as an elocution school in HB Block but on India’s 75th Independence Day the institute also released a music video featuring 75 artistes of Bengal. The video has them performing the extended version of Jana gana mana and is now available on YouTube.
The version was launched Sister Nivedita University in New Town by chancellor Satyam Roychowdhury. Several artistes featured in the video, like Iman Chakraborty and Jojo, came by.
“We wanted to feature artistes across disciplines, ages and genres,” said elocutionist and founder of Shrutibritto, Suvadeep Chakraborty. He and singer Chirantan Banerjee have directed the video that stars vocalists like Rupankar Bagchi, Raghav Chatterjee, Somlata Acharyya Chowdhury, Anupam Roy and Usha Uthup. Dancers like Thankumani Kutty have performed too.
“Although we are an elocution school, we wanted to deliver a message of unity in diversity through related arts, music and dance,” said Chakraborty.
