Kolkata remained cloudy all of Friday with showers in the evening. The southwest monsoon finally advanced into some parts of south Bengal on Friday. It has now covered all districts of north Bengal and North-24 Parganas, Nadia, Kolkata, most parts of South 24-Parganas, Murshidabad and some parts of East Midnapore, Howrah, Hooghly, east Burdwan and Birbhum districts of south Bengal, according to IMD. The city recorded around 3mm rainfall till 6pm
