The STF arrested 39-year-old Pir Mohammed alias Samir Da in Kalimpong. Police claimed that ISI had entrusted him with supplying information on Army movement in the Siliguri corridor, also known as the Chicken's Neck.

"On Friday evening, Pir, a resident of Murgihatta in Kalimpong, was arrested. He has links with suspected Pakistan Intelligence operatives and is believed to have passed on information in lieu of money. A probe is on," said IG (Bengal STF) Deep Narayan Goswami.

According to sources, Pir is likely to be brought to Kolkata for interrogation. Several other security agencies have also sought permission to question him.
