West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (WBHIDCO) has partnered with Powerbank to establish the largest Public Fast Charging Hub for Electric Vehicles (EVs) in West Bengal and East India. Powerbank is a fast-growing EV charging network owned by Shuchi Anant Virya Private Limited
The EV Charging Hub is located at WBHIDCO New Town, Rajarhat, Kolkata, on a 1150-sq metre plot near the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre and the iconic Café Ekante. The New Town EV Charging Hub is currently capable of fast-charging 25 vehicles at one go with 25 GB/T connector guns. Further expansions will allow 50-75 vehicles to enjoy fast charging and slow charging facilities.
EV owners can access these charging facilities in a hassle-free manner through the PowerbankEV charging mobile application.
