Universities, Raj Bhavan celebrate International Yoga Day in Kolkata

The International Day of Yoga was celebrated at different educational institutions in West Bengal on Wednesday.

A programme was held at the Raj Bhavan in Kolkata, where Governor C.V. Ananda Bose participated in a yoga session along with school students and officials.

A similar programme was also organised on the premises of the Victoria Memorial Hall where students participated in a yoga session.

At the Visva-Bharati university, over 600 students performed yoga at a programme held at the ‘Natyaghar’ of the Theatre Department. Vice-Chancellor Bidyut Chakraborty, heads of different departments and officials also participated in the programme.

At IIT-Kharagpur, over 100 students took part in a similar programme along with their teachers at the Technology Students’ Gymkhana.

Students of Jadavpur University’s physical education department also organised a programme at its main campus to mark the occasion.
