The Amherst Street branch of the legendary sweet shop Putiram is shutting down. According to sources, the closure was initiated after the owner of the branch was diagnosed with a terminal illness. The Putiram shop on College Street will continue serving the city its delectable Kheerer chop, Kochuri and other sweets, confirmed Samarjit Modak, a member of the owner family
