Major sections of south and central Kolkata will remain blocked on December 24 and 25.

Roads affected by restrictions
Movement of all kinds of goods vehicles towards Maidan and Park Street shall be restricted from the following road intersection from 4pm on December 24 to 4am on December 25; and again from 4pm, December 25 until clearance is given by the deputy commissioner, traffic police on December 26.
- Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road and Chowringhee Road crossing (towards north)
- Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road and Harish Mukherjee Road and Cathedral Road crossing (towards north)
- Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road and Hospital Road (West) crossing (towards north)
- Strand Road and Gosthapal Sarani crossing (towards East)
- Strand Road and Auckland Road crossing (towards East)
- Red Road and Mayo Road crossing
- Mayo Road and Dufferin Road crossing
- Cathedral Road and Queens Way crossing
- Chowringhee Road and Shakespeare Sarani crossing
- Esplanade crossing (towards South)
- Govt Place East and Esplanade Row East crossing (towards South)
- Govt Place East and Rani Rashmoni Avenue crossing (towards South)
The vehicles will instead be allowed to ply along Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road, St Georges Gate Road, Strand Road and onwards.
Traffic restrictions for December 24
- Both way traffic will not be implemented before 2am on December 25 on Park Street, Shakespeare Sarani and all other connecting and Feeder Roads, except Chowringhee Road
- Queensway shall be one way from east to west, as and when required
- Cathedral Road will be closed for vehicles as and when required
- North and south-bound vehicles will ply along Jawaharlal Nehru Road from Ho Chi Minh Sarani crossing up to Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road crossing. Road Extension
Traffic restrictions for December 25
- Park Street from Jawaharlal Nehru Road crossing up to Wood Street crossing and Entire Middleton Street will be closed
- Only east-bound Traffic will ply on Ho Chi Minh Sarani
- Both bound Traffic will ply along Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road from Royd Street crossing up to Park Street crossing
- Russell Street will remain no-entry for traffic and Little Russel Street from Shakespeare Sarani crossing
- If required, west-bound traffic will be restricted along Kyd Street from Free School Street
- Park Street and Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road bound vehicles coming from Outram Road will avail Ho Chi Minh Sarani to Camac Street then Short Street, Wood Street to avail Park Street or all along either Camac Street or Jawaharlal Nehru Road to avail Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road
- Park Street bound vehicles coming via Mayo Road, Jawaharlal Nehru Road will take Kyd Street up to Free School Street then Royd Street up to Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road then right turn to avail Park Street
- South-bound vehicles along Jawaharlal Nehru Road intending to move further south from Park Street crossing will either avail Park Street Flyover or take right turn on Mayo Road from Jawaharlal Nehru Road crossing then Dufferin Road to Outram Road /Kidderpore Road
- Vehicles along Shakespeare Sarani will move till Jawaharlal Nehru Road crossing
- Auto rickshaws may avail Free School Street - Marquis Street - Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road (foul) -Elliot Road, in place of Free School Street - Royd Street - Elliot Road
- Both bound traffic will ply along Camac Street from Ho Chi Minh Sarani up to Short Street crossing
- If required, west-bound traffic will be restricted along Elliot Road from Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road crossing
- 'No Parking' will be enforced on Park Street from Jawaharlal Nehru Road to Wood Street, Middleton Street, Short Street, Wood Street from Short Street up to Park Street, Ho Chi Minh Sarani, Camac Street from Middleton Street to Short Street, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road from Royd Street to Park Street, Little Russel Street, Free School Street from Park Street to Kyd Street crossing, Elliot Road, etc
Road restrictions on December 25
Traffic may also be regulated at and around the following places on December 25 as and when considered necessary by the police on duty.

- Birla Planetarium
- Alipore Zoo
- Paresh Nath Temple
- Kali Temple at Kalighat
- Thanthania Kalibari
- New Market sector on Lindsay Street
- Birla Mandir on Ashutosh Chowdhury Avenue
- Millennium Park
Trams will not ply on Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road and its periphery and Elliot Road from noon on December 24 and 25.
In addition to these restrictions, traffic may be diverted from any of the feeder and arterial roads as and when considered necessary by the Traffic Police. These regulations will be enforced in addition to any normal traffic restrictions on the days December 24 and December 25.
