Indian cricket great Sourav Ganguly on Thursday said he was thrilled with the biopic on him and apparently revealed the makers of the film, too.
There has earlier been news about Sourav's biopic being made but the Indian cricket team ex-captain had not then revealed who would be associated with the film.
Sourav Ganguly in his tweet on Thursday tagged movie director Luv Ranjan, the man behind quirky, successful films such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, and producer Ankur Garg.
He also tagged Luv Films and a person with the Twitter handle @DasSanjay1812, whose bio on the social medium just says “cricket lover”.
There is, of course, intense speculation about who will play Sourav in the film about him. Among recent films, Ranveer Singh played Kapil Dev in 1983 about “Kapil's Devils” — the World Cup winning team.
Meanwhile, Kolkata cannot wait to see Sourav the God of the Offside lord over the greens again — even if on screen.
