Tired of standing in a long queue to get tickets to Science City? Worry no more as the self-service ticket kiosk has been installed. Science City, a unit of the National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, recently stepped into its 25th anniversary earlier this year. It has been inculcating the principles of science in a fun and interactive manner for over two decades to the young and old alike.

The self-service ticket kiosk makes things simple for hundreds of people who visit the place daily. As of now, one such kiosk has been installed beside the manual ticket counter inside the premises. Depending on the response, more such kiosks may be added.

Science City is extremely popular among school and college students. Regular excursions are planned at the venue.

Anurag Kumar, director, Science City, said, “Visitors who are familiar with this system are liking it as it helps them skip the queue and they also get information on-screen.’’ With Science City completing over two decades in the city, he added, “We are planning several facilities for visitors in the coming years. Some of these have already been forwarded to the ministry for funds. We are also looking at corporate, PPP and CSR funding for these projects.”
