The workshop is part of a road safety campaign launched by the Bidhannagar Commissionerate after a Class VII student of The Newtown School died after she fell off the two-wheeler her mother was riding last Sunday.

On Thursday, the cops asked the students to ensure that their parents always exercise caution while riding two-wheelers and demonstrated safe riding techniques and ways to properly overtake heavy vehicles.

The cops also asked the students to exercise caution while crossing roads.

More such workshops are in the pipeline, a police officer said.
