Pool car carrying students hit app cab on EM Bypass on Tuesday morning, kids unhurt

Pool car as sent for mechanical examination to ascertain if it had developed mechanical snag

A pool car carrying students of a school in Salt Lake hit a stationary app cab on EM Bypass, at Kadapara off Kankurgachi, on Tuesday morning.

Police said the pool car driver lost control and rammed into the app cab. None of the students in the pool car were injured.

“The children inside the pool car were unhurt. Later, we took charge of the pool car and arrested the driver for rash and negligent driving. The app cab was also impounded,” said an officer of the Phoolbagan police station under whose jurisdiction the accident happened.

The principal of the school in Salt Lake said there was no report of any child being injured.

“We have not been informed about the accident. There was no report of any student being injured,” said the principal.

A school official said school starts at 8am. The accident happened at 7.50am, not far from the school.

The pool car driver has been charged with rash and negligent driving.
