A young girl was seen strolling outside the Victoria Memorial without a mask. On being asked, she said: “Sorry, bhul hoye geche, but amar kachhe mask achhe, ami ekhoni porey nichchi (I apologise. But I have a mask and I will wear it right now).”

A man walking with his friend on Park Street was asked why his mask was hanging from his chin instead of covering his mouth and nose. He replied: “Oh! It slips whenever I walk.”
A group of young men walking down Outram Road, chatting merrily, looked surprised when Metro clicked their photograph. None was wearing a mask. When asked why they were without a mask, one of them said: ”What good will it do to wear a mask?” His friends giggled.
A young woman holding a juice bottle and a mobile phone in hand was seen on the Maidan with a surgical mask hanging from her chin. “I have breathing problems,” she said, when asked why she kept her face and mouth uncovered.
