The poetry festival, that is traditionally organised alongside the book far, will also be held from January 29 to 31. The fair was originally scheduled for January 7 to 16 but was postponed after the state government cancelled fairs as part of restrictions imposed to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus at the peak of the third wave.

Incidentally, the International Kolkata Book Fair, supposed to be held at Central Park in Salt Lake, has also been pushed back from its original schedule of January 31 to February 13, and is now looking at a February 28 start.
