The number of trains in the North-South corridor will go up from next week.
The carrier will run 282 trains from Monday to Friday, up from 276, said an official.
On Saturdays, there will be 234 trains instead of 230 and on Sundays, 130 instead of 128, the official said.
From Monday to Saturday, the first trains will leave Dum Dum and New Garia and 6.50am, instead of 7am.
The first train for New Garia will leave Dakshineswar at 7am, like it used to.
The last trains will leave Dum Dum and New Garia at 9.40pm instead of 9.30pm. The last train will continue to leave Dakshineswar at 9.28pm.
On Sundays, the first trains will continue to leave all three terminal stations at 9am.

Park Circus: Pedestrian run over, dies
A 28-year-old pedestrian died after being hit by a bus near Park Circus on Friday.
Rina Bauri, a resident of Dhapa, was hit by a state bus on Friday afternoon, police said.
She was taken to a hospital where she died at night, the police said.
The bus driver was arrested. The police have seized the bus.
