Job racket busted

Two men from Purulia have been arrested for allegedly duping job aspirants by promising them placements in private banks and companies against payment.

Haradhan Bauri, 22, and Avijit Bauri, 25, were arrested on Tuesday.

The police had started a probe based on a complaint they had received in February. Manas Dasgupta and his friend Swati Chakraborty had complained that they had lost more than Rs 2.17 lakh that they had paid to get jobs.

The two arrested men are part of a gang, the police said.
