  • 12 noon: Procession from Raja Subodh Mullick Square to Y-channel via Ganesh Chandra Avenue, Chittaranjan Avenue, KC Das crossing
  • 1pm: Procession from Raja Subodh Mullick Square to Gandhi statue via Nirmal Chandra Street – Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road – SN Banerjee Road – Dorina crossing – Jawaharlal Nehru Road – Park Street crossing – Mayo Road

Alumni to gift computers to RKM college

Former students of the physics department at Ramakrishna Mission Narendrapur Residential College (Autonomous), Narendrapur, have developed a platform to buy the department computers as the college does not have adequate funds to meet the demand. The Association for the Physics Alumni, Narendrapur (APAN), which met on January 20, has so far decided to contribute Rs 1.8 lakh to help the department buy computers so that the students can attend their practical classes properly.

Kabir Suman ill

Singer-songwriter Kabir Suman was admitted to the critical care unit of the Calcutta Medical College and Hospital on Monday afternoon. The 75-year-old singer, a former Trinamul Congress MP, was having breathing difficulty, said an official of the hospital. Fluid had accumulated in the lungs and he also had a heart failure, said the official.
