Parking scuffle
A scuffle broke out between cops and a family whose car — parked in a No Parking zone — was towed away at the Lake Town traffic guard off VIP Road on Wednesday. The family demanded the car be released. Both the police and the car owner have lodged separate complaints with Lake Town police station. No one was arrested till late on Wednesday.
Fatal fall
A 30-year-old man, Siddhartha Sharma, fell to his death from his apartment on the sixth floor of a high-rise building in Alipore on Wednesday, police said.
