Missing boy united with family
A 14-year-old boy who had gone for shopping with his mother and lost her in the crowd at Shyambazar was located two-and-a-half hours later in Garia. Officer-in-charge of Garia traffic guard, Sk Nazmul Hossain, said the child was found in an empty bus. The boy, who initially refused to share any details of his family, was offered water, biscuits and a mobile phone to play before he shared the mobile number of his father.
His father, a doctor in a government hospital, confirmed that his elder son had gone missing from Shyambazar, where he went with his mother and younger sibling for Durga Puja shopping. The child was handed over to his parents on Wednesday evening.
