Jadavpur University reminder to govt on convocation
Jadavpur University has again written to the education department requesting that they be allowed to hold the annual convocation on December 24. The university had written to education minister Bratya Basu on December 8 saying "it would be an act of injustice towards the students" if they could not be awarded degree certificates. JU s officiating vice-chancellor, Buddhadeb Sau, said since they have not received an approval from the department yet, a reminder has been sent. Sau said students have threatened an agitation if the convocation is not held.
