Kolkata Traffic Police have also issued a traffic notification in connection with IPL 2023 matches to be held at the Eden Gardens on April 6, 14, 23 and 29, and May 8, 11 and 20.
Board issues TET certificates
The state primary education board has started issuing TET 2014-qualified certificates from Friday in compliance with a directive of Calcutta High Court, said a board official.
The court had on March 31 asked Gautam Paul, president of the West Bengal Boardof Primary Education, who appeared in person, why there was a delay in issuing certificates to successful candidates who had appeared in the 2014 teachers’ eligibility test (TET).
KMC appointment
Kolkatans will soon be able to book appointments with chief engineers and other department heads of the KMC through the WhatsApp bot (8335999111), mayor Firhad Hakim said on Friday. They can lodge complaints and seek information on tax-related issues and mutation, the mayor said.
A number of other services, too, can be received by using the number, said KMC officials.
Fare revision plea
State transport minister Snehasis Chakrabarty on Friday told a joint forum of bus and minibus owners that there was no scope for any revision of the existing fares. The forum members had met the minister demanding an increase in fares, which were last revised in 2018.
