More Metro trains on Sunday
Metro Railway will run four extra trains on the north-south corridor on Sunday for candidates who will write a constable recruitment test of the city police. The first pair will leave Dakshineswar and New Garia at 7am and the second at 7.15am. Usual Sunday services will start at 9am.
Metro inspection
A team from Japan International Cooperation Agency, which is funding the East-West Metro corridor construction, visited the Bowbazar project site on Friday. The team was headed by Saito Mitsunori, chief representative of the agency s India office. They also inspected the tunnel between Esplanade and Sealdah.
