Road repair at Chowringhee
The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) will repair portions of Market Street, Chowringhee Road, Bentinck Street, RN Mukherjee Road and Esplanade Row (East) that were dug up for underground utility repairs. The work will cost about 4.95 lakh. The KMC has invited bids for the work.
Pavement overhaul at Maniktala
The Kolkata Municipal Corporation will repair stretches of footpaths along Maniktala Main Road, Narkeldanga Main Road and some neighbouring streets. The civic body has invited bids for the work, which will cost about Rs 4.72 lakh.
New Town lights
Lights in several markets and parks in New Town that have stopped working will be repaired within a month, an official of the New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA), which is going to carry out the repairs said. Lights and sound equipment at BD Block Park, Smart Plaza Park opposite Novotel Hotel and CB Park will be repaired, the official said. The tender process for the repairs has been initiated.
