- 10am: Procession followed by a meeting from the front of 15, Gangadhar Babu Lane and move along Chittaranjan Avenue – Esplanade crossing – Jawaharlal Nehru Road – Dorina crossing and terminate at Rani Rashmoni Avenue near Bhowanipur Club Tent
- 11am: Procession from Raja Subodh Mullick Square and will move along Nirmal Chandra Street – Rafi Ahmed Khidwai Road – SN Banerjee Road – Dorina Crossing - Jawaharlal Nehru Road and end at Y-channel, Esplanade
Six arrested at Book Fair
At least six members of an organisation were arrested at Kolkata Book Fair on Sunday for holding a demonstration, for which they allegedly did not have permission, demanding the release of prisoners and undertrials from jails across the country, police said.
An officer at the Bidhannagar commissionerate said the accused did not have permission to hold protests at the Book Fair. The police said the students are members of the Revolutionary Students Front.
