Cornice collapse in Chetla
The cornice over the balcony of the top floor of a three-storey building on Paramahansa Deb Road in Chetla collapsed on Sunday morning and fell on a stationary taxi. No one was injured. Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) officials said the building is neither illegal nor in the "dangerous" category, but is old and has to be repaired properly. The officials said they would send a letter to the owner.
