More Metro trains for Puja
Metro Railway will run additional trains on weekends to tackle the rush of Puja shoppers. "Anticipating a heavy rush of Puja shoppers, Metro Railway has decided to run special pre-Puja Metro services on Saturdays and Sundays from September 23 till October 15 on the Blue Line (north-south corridor)," the carrier said on Thursday. On Saturdays, the carrier will run 288 trains, instead of 234. On Sundays, there will be 164 trains, up from 130. The timings of the first and last trains will remain unchanged, said an official.
