Negligence charge
A Class X student at a south Calcutta school died at a city hospital on Wednesday. His parents lodged a complaint of medical negligence against the attending doctor and the hospital authorities. "There was negligence on the part of the hospital and we have filed a general diary," said the boy s maternal uncle. Police said they had received a complaint of medical negligence from the family. The Class X boy was a bright student and scored over 90 per cent in the recently concluded mid-term exams, a school official said. The students were shown the answer scripts last week.
