The city traffic police on Thursday notified the restrictions that will be in place for Shab-e-Barat on March 18 and 19.
Movement of all types of goods vehicles will be restricted along the following roads of Kolkata as per the time schedule mentioned below:
- 3pm on 18.03.2022 to 6pm on 19.03.2022 on the following roads:
Garden Reach Road, from Ramnagar crossing to Gandhi Maidan, Akra Road, Paharpur Road, Dr AK Road
- From 6pm on 18.03.2022 to 6am on 19.03.2022
Khagen Chatterjee Road
- From 8pm on 18.03.2022 to 6am on 19.03.2022
Vidyasagar Setu (both outbound and inbound), Garden Reach Road, Central Garden Reach Road, Dent Mission Road, Ekbalpore Road, Dr Sudhir Bose Road, Diamond Harbour Road (From Kidderpore crossing to Remount Road crossing), Straddle Road, Bhukailash Road, MM Ali Road, Ibrahim Road, Monashatala Lane, Satya Doctor Road, AJC Bose Road, Kidderpore Road, AJC Bose Ramp and Hastings Ramp, Park Circus connector, Sundari Mohan Avenue (CIT Road), Darga Road, Suhrawardy Avenue, CIT Road from HUDCO crossing to Phoolbagan crossing, Maniktala Main Road from EM Bypass to Maniktala crossing, Raja Dinendra Street from Gas Street (Raja Bazar) to RG Kar Road, Bagmari Road from CIT Road to EM Bypass, Acharya Prafulla Chandra Road, Park Circus connector, Syed Amir Ali Avenue, Ashutosh Chowdhury Avenue, Circus Avenue, Prince Anwar Shah Road.
These restrictions will be enforced in addition to the other usual restrictions on the days, which are not repugnant to the above, the notification, signed by Kolkata police commissioner Vineet Kumar Goyal, further stated.
