The number of trains in Kolkata Metro’s North-South corridor on weekdays will go up from July 1.
The carrier will run 288 trains from Monday to Friday, up from 282, between Kavi Subhas and Dum Dum stations, according to a press release.
Out of these, 172 trains will run between Kavi Subhas and Dakshineswar stations at five-minute intervals during morning and evening rush hours.
There will be no changes in the schedule of the first and last trains. The first train from Dum Dum heading for Kavi Subhas will be at 6.50am and vice versa, while the last train from Dum Dum will depart for Kavi Subhas at 9.40pm and vice versa.
The schedule of East-West Metro services will also remain unchanged.
