At the inauguration of the joint initiative by the Priyamvada Birla Institute of Nursing (unit of Belle Vue Clinic) and the Medhavi Skillversity to upgrade the skills of nurses, Chandrima Bhattacharya, minister of state for health and family welfare, land and land reforms & refugee relief and rehabilitation, planning and statistics, programme monitoring, said this (upgradation) has become essential in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Professor Tamorish Kole, CEO of Medhavi Skillversity, said, “We feel extremely honoured to be associated with PBIN and its faculties. We believe that through these programmes, nursing professionals will be future ready and skilled to handle any challenge.”

Tondon, CEO, Belle Vue Clinic, said: “We embark on a journey towards innovation, expansion and commitment to empowering our students with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the ever-changing world of medical science. Our nursing institute is going to establish the centre of excellence in upskilling of healthcare professionals for the first time in eastern & north-eastern India in the name of Medhavi-Priyamvada Birla Upskilling of Healthcare Professionals, in collaboration with Medhavi Skillversity.

“This course will not only help our nursing students and doctors, it will also help the medical community, including doctors, nurses and paramedical persons, who wish to go abroad and practice their skill,” he added.
