Kestopur bridge (second), connecting New Town and Salt Lake Sector-V, was virtually inaugurated by chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday.  The 650m-long flyover, which goes over the Kestopur canal and stretches from Balaka Abasan in New Town’s Action Area I to Sector V Ring Road near Godrej Waterside offers a crucial alternative route to New Town from Salt Lake and Sector V and is expected to cut down on travel time for commuters headed to the township from EM Bypass.
