Gariahat flyover will remain shut to traffic from 10pm on March 25 to 6am on March 29 for a load test of the structure.
Kolkata Traffic Police posted a notification on Wednesday evening stating that the load testing will be undertaken by the Hooghly River Bridge Commissioners (HRBC).

During the closure, Kolkata Traffic Police will regulate the traffic bound for the flyover in the following manner:
- The flyover-bound traffic (south and north-bound) will be debarred from availing Gariahat Flyover.
- Vehicles will have to take Gariahat Road for their journey towards north or south.
- Buses with route numbers 8OB, 234, 37A, 13C/1 & AC5 will have to take the right turn (east-bound to south-bound) at Deshapriya Park crossing and will avail Sarat Bose Road - Southern Avenue - Golpark and vice-versa in order to avoid Gariahat crossing.
- Mini-buses from Kasba & Ekdalia will avail Swinhoe Street - Cornfield Road - R B Avenue - Bijon Setu in order to avoid Gariahat crossing.
