History or nature, kayaking or visiting museums — Vietnam has something for every kind of tourist and you can now get there at just over Rs 5,000.
Indian passengers can book their seats on VietJet flights to Vietnam at as low as Rs 5,555. The special offer is open on bookings made till October 25 and is valid on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Vietnam has, over the years, become one of the most popular holiday destinations for Indians. Travel agents in Kolkata said the number of tourists visiting Vietnam from the city has been increasing steadily. VietJet, Vietnam’s largest private airline, has come up with the offer to further boost this trend.
The VietJet offer will be available on flights dated August 1 to December 15 for all the routes connecting Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi) and India (Mumbai, New Delhi and Ahmedabad). “This is to strengthen the passenger flow from India. In the past few years, Vietnam has seen a huge increase in Indian tourists and we want to attract more tourists from India,” a VietJet official said.
Kolkata travel agents said even though the number of tourists has increased in the past years, most people visit Vietnam in winter. “Monsoon and summer are not ideal times to visit Vietnam. Indian tourists avoid the sultry, hot weather and prefer to enjoy the Vietnamese winter. This special plan would encourage Indian tourists to visit the country in other seasons as well,” said Vicky Shaw, travel agent.
